Our herbs class (awesome name TBA!) will be a parent-child class for kiddos AND MOMS 🙂 We'll meet monthly at the teaching farm in Nicholson one Tuesday afternoon a month. Every class will be focused on a different herb, coordinating with the “Herb Fairies” book series (recommended but not required). Each month we’ll have a lesson, make a different kind of remedy to take home, and complete an art or crafts project. 

For each class we’ll focusing on a different herb and will make a remedy and a craft, along with a lesson and time for nature journaling. The fee for each class is $20 for adults and $15 for children, which covers the class and projects. Our Spring Session dates are: 

 

Bring a SNACK, wear clothes suitable for paint, mud, creek play, and puddles (parents and children!)

Alison Hux, leader of NaturePLAY has worked as a Naturalist, outdoor educator, and nature nerd since 2004 (officially at least!) A Georgia Native Alison is passionate about place-based education; creating future conservationists by securing a love for the land in all children. She is certified in Growing Up Wild and Project Learning Tree and is a self-proclaimed continuing education junkie. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts and Biology from GA Southern University, and her hobbies

include saving turtles from cars, playing tag, and leading the Village. Alison's family includes her hiking loving husband and newly 5 year old, the inspiration for LLV!. 

Note: class is all outdoors, with access to running water and permanent bathrooms. 
In case of predicted severe weather: class may be CANCELED for the day and rescheduled to the make up date. In case of rain or snow, we still NaturePLAY! (Thunderstorms, in the shelter of the pole barn)
